HOW TO PUBLISH YOUR OWN E-NEWSLETTER

What is an E-zine it is a magazine published by Email or listserver for the general public or interested Person. A news letter is to a specific group but also works as good advertising outside your group.
WHAT IS A NEWSLETTER?

It is ususally a timely report on a single subject. It is a personalized information source produced by an expert! You! Much of the information I have put in this ebook can bet used to put out your on line newsletter.

It is generally to a specific group of people usually your multi-affiliate group. The specialized information in your newsletters should be current, and usually not be found elsewhere.
Keep in mind that it should also be designed to attract people to your organization and company so it should not be filled with just chit-chat about people the recruits would not know! Your newsletter should be able to be used by your multi-affiliates to recruit new multi- affiliates.

Don't make your newsletter too long. Two pages on line with the 63 character wrap (don't go over 63 charaters) we talked about should do you well. You should have enough handy tips and hints out of this ebook to mix with your specific information and keep you going for a long time.
How often should you publish it? At least once a month or every two weeks. You wnat inside information in the field, hot tips or news scoops that on your products and your recruiting techniques.
If you are doing an online building blast (2 or 3 emails a week to your folks), still do a newsletter once a month to get out inside information about how your group is doing and best tips etc.
Here are some hints to make your newsletter strong:

1. Name your newsletter
"ROD'S SECRET ONLINE MARKETING TIPS"
Make it an attention grabber. Don't focus on your company or products in the front part of the newsletter unless you have something that will set the world on fire!

2. Write objectively like you would see in a newspaper. Don't make your newsletter look like a sales brochure. To much sales propaganda and hype will get the delete button punched right now! Give people factual information that they can use! If you write an opinion into a story quote somebody rather than just write it.
example: "John Jones" says that this is the most exciting online group he has ever joined." John said, "I have learned more in my two weeks with this group than I did in two years online and made friends too!"

3. Don't use fancy words. You will lose your reader keep it simple. Keep your writing casual and conver- sational. If you have to use technical terms be sure to explain them. If you use abbreviations explain them.

4. Proofread! If you are doing it to go on line use Wordperfect or MS Word with a spell and grammar checker then cut and paste your newsletter into your email program.

5. Start out with your hottest subject with the most interest to your readers. If you don't grab your readers with the first two lines they are history and your newsletter is on the way to Email history. Put capital heads inbetween stories to give a feeling of "pages to your readers."

6. Don't try to use HTML or graphics if your audience is unknown. Many times these will not come thorough and your efforts are wasted.

7. Readers find newsletters more believable than ads. Doing a newsletter serves a double purpose. You communicate with your Multi-Affiliates and at the same time it can set your company apart from competition while improving your name recognition.

8. You can use the newsletter to give in-depth information to new readers. You get a lot more bang for the buck this way. It can also be critical if you are trying to eduate people about complex services or products. If prospects understand the benefits of your offering they'll be more likeley to join.

9. Remember if you write a newsletter well it can get passed through hundreds of hands on the internet. An ad would have hit the trash can at the first click of a button. Your affiliates can send it to friends asking for thier attention and ask them to pass it along to their friends.
Have you ever recieved an email newsletter where the lines were jagged and cut off in unusual places? I'm sure you've seen this. You may not realize it, but the newsletter I'm talking about is *yours*.

Sometimes, even though your newsletter looks nice and professional to you, by the time it gets to your reader, it has been mangled. In the next few short paragraphs I'll explain why this happens and show you how to fix this problem instantly.

The problem is this - there are scores of email clients (apps that allow you to download and read email - you're using one right now) available and they all treat email differently. Many of them will place line breaks in your emails at odd places. If you have line breaks at long intervals, or no hard line breaks at all in your email, your email client will chop up the text and make it look jagged and very unprofessional. (If this doesn't make sense, scroll below where you can download this free app - there are diagrams there that explain the problem in better detail.)

To prevent this, you should put hard line breaks at the end of every line and make each one no longer than 40-60 characters. Many experienced eZine managers know this, but they are frustrated by the fact that it takes a very long time. That is, going through each line of text and adding the line breaks in the right spot is not as easy as it sounds. Depending on the length of your newsletter it can take hours.
