"If You Had A Bank"

If you had a bank that credited your account each morning with $86,400.00, that carried over no balance from day to day, and allowed you to keep no cash in your account, and every evening cancelled whatever part of the amount you had failed to use during the day, what would you do? Draw out every cent, of course!

Well, you have such a bank and its name is "time". Every morning it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Each night it clears off as lost, what ever of this you have failed to invest to good purpose. It carries over no balances. It allows no overdrafts. Each day it opens a new account with you. Each night it burns the records of the day. If you fail to use the day's deposits the loss is yours. There is no drawing against the "tomorrow". You must live in the present -- on today's deposit. Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness and success!

Time 86,400 seconds a day. Tell me how you use your "spare" time and I will tell you what and where you will be ten years from today. No one is paid for his or her time, but you may be paid for the use you make of it. Only used time is of value.

Those who make the worst use of their time are the first to complain of its brevity. Live each day as if it was your last and you will develop a keen respect for time. Procrastination is the bad habit of putting off until day after tomorrow that which should have been done day before yesterday. When we fail to act as promptly as we should, it is usually not because the task in question is difficult, but because we have formed a habit of procrastinating whenever possible. Procrastination is seldom related to a single item; it is usually an ingrained behavior pattern, a life habit that will kill your chance for success in this business. Of course Deborah.nu Team Elites take the time to gather all the facts; but once they have the facts, there is no reason for procrastination. They act, and they get a real thrill from the power of action.

Top performers in Deborah.nu have dreams they have cultivated, which lead to a specific purpose and a real plan, and their plans all require immediate action. One of the basic principles of success is contained in the three words "Do It Now". The habit of "do it now" is one of a successful distributor's greatest assets. Once you have accepted the "Do It Now" challenge, make sure that your actions are not merely efficient but effective.

There is a big difference between efficiency and effectiveness. Efficiency is "doing things right". A distributor in red time (management) for example, can do everything right from a perfectly clean desk, an immaculate filing system with everything in order, correctly formatted and spelled emails, etc.. Effectiveness is "doing the right things right" which leads to getting the necessary tasks done that create commissionable volumes. The "right things" to do (green time, volume creating time) are CAPPS. The most effective use of your time falls into the following four broad basics: Inviting, Presenting, Sponsoring, Training. Almost anything else you do in pursuit of your business does not create commissionable volume, no matter how much you like doing that particular activity or how good you are at it.

Ask yourself daily -- If everyone in my organization did exactly what I did today with my time, would I be happy with the result? Another question -- Am I making the most productive use of my time right now? End of the day question -- What did I do today that actually made my business grow, that created commissionable volume?

We issue the challenge for you to truly make the best use of the 86,400 seconds deposited in your daily bank. Be mindful of the difference between efficiency and effectiveness; and start each day by promising yourself, "Today I will do what others won't, so tomorrow I will be able to do what others can't."

Do It Now!

Your Deborah.nu Staff
