In a closed system, a high energy or "hot" molecule moves rapidly around bumping into its neighbors. With each collision it transfers part of its energy to its neighbors thus spreading its energy throughout the system. The hotter the molecule, the faster it moves and the more energy it spreads. Enthusiasm is the energy that drives people in our business to react in a similar way. There are many motives people have for joining our business, but until genuine enthusiasm for the business takes over as the primary motivating factor, the new business will not prosper. Fortunately, this driving force, enthusiasm, is available in unlimited quantities to anyone who wants to create it. Enthusiasm or the concept of being a "hot molecule" can be taught and learned. Anyone can generate it from within himself or herself. In fact, the derivation of the word implies that it must come from within. The English word enthusiasm comes from the Greek words: theos (god) and en (inside) meaning the god within you. That is a powerful ally! To understand how critical developing enthusiasm is to this business, let´s examine the opposites of enthusiasm -- boredom and indifference. Can you imagine anyone actively seeking a chance to pursue a business or purchase a product they are bored with or indifferent to?
So, where does this enthusiasm come from and how do we create it? Enthusiasm for our business comes from the belief that through our and Deborah.nu systems one can fulfill one´s hopes and dreams. The more absolute your confidence in this fulfillment, the greater the enthusiasm will be. Therefore, guard you attitude with your life; do whatever it takes to build your belief in the ultimate fulfillment of your life´s greatest hopes and dreams. Enthusiasm is a visceral emotion, the physical counterpart to our beliefs. When you feel yourself taking hold of a definite idea, a definite plan, you naturally become enthusiastic. Thus, enthusiasm can be seen as an awareness of the relationship between oneself and the power to achieve.
Here are 6 basic steps to creating enthusiasm:
1. Be a product of the product. Be your own best customer; use only products that can be ordered from NSE. This builds confidence in the company and in the value and benefits of the products.
2. Study Deborah.nu materials, the email trainings, listen to the tapes, and stay connected to Deborah.nu leaders. Know everything about how the system works so you will know absolutely that it does work!
3. Never take rejection personally. (review Deborah.nu Training # 26).
4. Set lofty goals -- goals that excite you when you think of them. The bigger the better!
5. Establish a plan with specific quantifiable short-term goals you can focus on as subsets to achieving your larger goals and dreams. This way you can see your progress and build even more confidence.
6. Take massive action. Emotions can be controlled by action. Procrastination is the door through which fear and doubt enter your life. Action keeps that door bolted shut.
Enthusiasm is the keystone in the arch of the business building process and a magnetic force that attracts those who come near. We nurture enthusiasm through practice by injecting emotional feeling into our words and actions, by thinking in enthusiastic terms, and acting in the same way. Speak with enthusiasm, move with confidence, and take pride and joy from the way your enthusiasm grows and spreads to others. When enthusiasm becomes a habit, fear and worry do not hang around, your goals become visible in greater detail, and the wheels of imagination and creativity start turning.
The happiest people are those who have learned to mix play with their work and bind the two together with enthusiasm. Enthusiasm often makes ordinary facts and dull conversation interesting. You can be enthusiastic about everything you do. When you shake hands with someone, do it with enthusiasm. When you talk to someone on the phone, work in a cheerful thought. Send a feeling of vitality across the wires to make the person on the other end feel better for having talked to you. Enthusiasm is like a siphon. First you have to prime it, but once it is flowing, it goes right on flowing. Practice being a hot molecule and watch enthusiasm flow magically from you to others and back again!
